Every year the garden club sponsors an annual Christmas Luncheon that draws a crowd of about 110 people.  It is held on the first Wednesday of December, and is open to club members, old friends, new friends and the community at large.  It is always a sit-down, catered meal of delicious food. 

 

Entertainment is generally provided by a well-known floral designer who leads us through the latest trends, tips and tricks of floral design.  The demonstration arrangements are raffled off so several lucky people go home with beautiful holiday arrangements.  In addition we run a "Holiday Boutique" with a well appointed "Ways and Means" table, Benefit Raffles and vendors with a variety of unique gift items for sale.  

 

The club members always make both the luncheon centerpieces and party favors.  Themes have ranged from Christmas ornaments and cookie-filled boxes, to bird-feeders, holiday jewelry and others.

 

The SVGC Christmas luncheon kicks off the holiday season with great food and entertainment, and an opportunity to get a jump start on holiday shopping!
