Flower Shows

Every year the club holds a Flower Show that challenges our members' creativity, and provides an opportunity to improve and showcase our floral design skills.  It is generally held at the Mary Beatrice Cushing Library on Bridge Street in Schoharie.  Every show has a theme and a cookie reception or "Tea" may be provided.

In 2018, the club joined forces with the "Schoharie Valley Piecemakers,"  a local quilters guild, to sponsor a joint flower/quilt show and afternoon Tea.  The library was awash with the vibrant colors, textures and fragrances of a floral and fabric display that filled two floors at the library.  Flower arrangements were designed to complement specific quilts, garments or wall hangings.   The event was so well received that both of our organizations are considering making it an annual event.  It is always open to the public and free of charge.
